1. Configure TCP/IP
Click the Apple Menu, point to Control Panels and click TCP/IP.
Click the File Menu and click Configurations.





Click the Duplicate button and enter the name Freeserve.
Ensure the new Freeserve entry is highlighted and click Make Active.
Under Connect Via select PPP.
Then under Configure select Using PPP Server. (IP Address, Subnet Mask and Router Address will say 'Will be supplied by server').




In the Name Server Address box type 195.92.195.94
Press enter then type 195.92.195.95
Close TCP/IP and click Save when asked.


2. Configure Remote Access
Click the Apple Menu, point to Control Panels and click Remote Access.
Click the File Menu and click Configurations.



Click the Duplicate button and enter the name Freeserve.
Ensure the new Freeserve entry is highlighted and click Make Active.




In the Name box enter your Freeserve username paulholdsworth.freeserve.co.uk.
In the Password box enter your Freeserve password gibsonlp.
In the Number box enter
147008089933256.
Click the Options button and click the Protocol tab.




Under Use Protocol select PPP
Ensure that Connect Automatically when starting PPP applications and Allow Error Correction Compression in Modem are checked, and that TCP Header Compression and Connect to a Command Line Host are not checked.

Click OK and close Remote Access. Click Save when asked.

3. To set Freeserve as your Homepage:
Open Internet Explorer
Click Edit, then Preferences





Under Home Page enter http://www.freeserve.com in the Address box.
Close the Preferences and click the Home button.
